2007 Cardiff winner Peter Zeidman has a first class degree in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from Birmingham University, and is now studying for a masters in Natural Computation. His current research considers what we can learn from the brain to create intelligent robots, and how we can learn about ourselves by building intelligent machines. Away from his computer, Peter enjoys representing his University at debating competitions, playing the violin and making the most of student life. "NESTA Famelab is a fantastic concept. Science is exciting and doesn't need to be out of reach of "normal people", and yet it can sometimes seem cold and impenetrable. By encouraging people working in science to communicate their field in a fun and gripping way, anyone can be inspired. I loved the Cardiff round, and look forward to meeting everyone at the final." |
